This Policy is applicable to [Cheops Holdings Limited and its related entities, 'Cheops'.] Cheops is the property manager of One Three Five Victoria. Cheops is committed to protecting the privacy of Personal Information and complying with the New Zealand Residential Act 1986 and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from you, what we do with it and your rights to view, correct or change the information. Please read this policy carefully.  


By submitting any Personal Information to us, you are agreeing to be bound by this policy in respect of the information collected about you.

Where this Privacy Policy refers to ‘personal information’, it means information about an identifiable individual.

3. What we collect and what we use it for

The type of Personal Information that Cheops Holdings LTD may collect and hold will include:

  • Personal contact information including your name, email address, postal or physical address and telephone/mobile number. If you choose not to provide your contact details, we’ll be unable to get in touch to provide further information about our available properties.
  • Personal photographic identification information such as your passport, drivers licence and/or other.
  • References including personal and work.
  • Proof supporting ability to service rent.

Cheops Holdings Ltd will use this Personal Information to:

  • Provide you with the information you have requested.
  • Undertake background enquiries (including personal and work references, credit, Ministry of Justice, Personal Properties Securities Register, debt collection agency and any tribunal or court records). If you choose not to provide personal identification, reference information and proof of ability to service rent, we may not be able to process your application to rent our properties.
  • If you are a successful applicant for one of our properties the Personal Information will be used in arranging a tenancy agreement.
  • Notify you about important changes or developments to our services.

We may also use your contact information to let you know about other projects or offerings i.e. other properties to lease. Our staff or an approved representative may contact you by email, post or telephone.

4. When and how we collect your personal information

Cheops collects personal information via our websites.

We collect your personal contact information when you complete the online ‘want to know more’ form on our website.

Our website will also direct you to a third-party platform“Renti” to collect your personal identification information when you register your interest or booking a viewing for a property, and in addition, proof of ability to service rent when you apply for a property.

We may also request and collect your personal contact information when you attend a viewing/appointment.

5. Who we share this information with

We will use and disclose Personal Information for purposes related to why the information was collected (as set out in section 3), or where you have consented to its use or disclosure.

Personal contact information may be provided to our staff, contractors and third party service providers (should you become a tenant within our portfolio) to enable us to provide you with our services.

6. Retention and security of information

We will take reasonable steps to prevent the Personal Information we hold from being misused or lost and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This protection applies in relation to information stored both electronically and in hard copy form.


Our employees are required to maintain the confidentiality of any Personal Information held in accordance with the New Zealand Residential Act 1986 and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Personal Information will be deleted from our systems (electronic and hard versions) once it is no longer required for the purposes for which it is lawfully being used.

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy to reflect changes to our business, related entities and our associated websites or to data protection legislation.We recommend that you review this privacy policy regularly, so you are aware of any changes.
